Job summary

NSG Group/Pilkington Glass of Canada Ltd. seeks a Senior Quality Manager to ensure products and processes meet IATF standards and customer expectations while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

You will oversee quality systems, audits, supplier quality, and cross-functional programs such as Safe Launch and NMI, while coaching staff and leading KPI-driven performance across the plant. This leadership role requires technical depth, strategic thinking, and strong communication to align

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in an automotive manufacturing facility or Tier 1 supplier.
  • Internal Auditor certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in core quality tools: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all plant quality systems and practices comply with IATF and meet customer requirements.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality control systems, procedures, and documentation.
  • Oversee internal and external audits of production processes, equipment, and personnel to maintain adherence to quality standards.
  • Address customer concerns by establishing containment, conducting thorough investigations, identifying root causes, and executing effective corrective actions.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving using tools such as 5-Why, Ishikawa Diagrams, and 5P; coach and mentor staff in their effective application.
  • Manage supplier quality, including raw glass and component performance.
  • Provide leadership, training, and performance management for quality team members.
  • Oversee key programs including Safe Launch, New Model Introduction (NMI), and the Ambassador Program.
  • Work cross-functionally to prioritize and execute initiatives aligned with KPIs such as Internal PPM, External PPM, and Cost of Quality (COQ).
  • Champion Continuous Improvement efforts across the organization.
  • Ensure all required quality reports and documentation are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Contribute to achieving overall plant performance goals and budget targets.
  • Maintain communication with certification bodies as needed (e.g., IATF containment status reporting).
  • Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.

Job description

The purpose of this role is to ensure products and processes meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while leading continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a balance of technical knowledge, leadership, and strategic thinking to manage daily quality issues while driving long-term process improvements and team development.

Qualifications Required:

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience implementing or managing digital Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Ability to develop and use digital dashboards and KPIs to monitor quality performance across operations.
Salary Range: $104,265 - $130,331

The salary range posted represents NSG Group/Pilkington Glass of Canada Ltd.'s good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the successful candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, education, internal equity, and business requirements.
