Job summary

Primoris Canada is seeking a Materials Coordinator to oversee site materials, shipments, and related documentation on large-scale projects. You will act as the main contact for freight information, inventory, requisitions, and equipment transfers, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in shipping/receiving and at least 8 years in heavy industrial manufacturing or petro-chemical settings, with strong knowledge of pipe, fittings and valves, QA programs,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ shipping/receiving experience.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or petro-chemical industry.
• Familiar with QA program and HSE regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site materials and shipments, front-line contact for material questions.
• Oversee offloading, inspection and verification against PO specs.
• Document receiving inspection and QA-compliant records.
• Tag non-conforming material and quarantine as needed.
• Prepare materials for shipment and update materials database.

Job Overview:Primoris Canada is a infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.SUMMARYThe Materials Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of site materials and incoming/outgoing shipments and will be the main contact for any Materials related questions (freight information, tracking shipments, incoming inventory, material requisitions, equipment requisitions, shipping coordination, etc.).Expression of interest for potential work.JOB DUTIESPerform budget development, progress measurement, cost forecasting and preparing monthly internal and client benchmark/milestone reports for mid to large scale projects.Supervise the offloading of materials from carrierInspect materials for damage, overages, shortages, and compliance with purchase order specificationDocument and report the receiving inspection in accordance with the Quality Assurance System Program and HSE ProgramIdentify and tag non-conforming material and quarantine as necessaryOrganize, verify, and file all receiving and vendor documentationEnsure materials are stored and maintained in a suitable manner and environmentDocument the withdrawal of materials for use on-sitePrepare and load finished goods/materials for shipmentComplete appropriate documentation and update materials database prior to shipment of goods/materialsPerform periodic materials inspection to verify material counts, conditions, location, and statusQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 3 years’ experience in shipping/receiving/stores capacityMinimum of 8 years’ experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or the Petro-chemical industrySKILLSSuperior knowledge of pipe, fittings and valvesFamiliar with “Bagging & Tagging” or “Kitting” processKnowledgeable and experienced with a formal QA programComputer skillsFamiliar with HSE regulations pertaining to the care, custody, storage, and handling of goods, materials, and consumables
