Job summary

EMCO Corporation, a leading national distributor of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks and industrial products, is seeking a Material Handler in Canada. You will pick, pack, ship orders and handle receiving, put-away and returns with high attention to detail.

This role includes forklift operation, safety compliance, and customer service at the counter. Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of warehouse experience, Grade 12 diploma, and the ability to learn product knowledge and the order processing

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
• A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
• Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
• Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment
• Possess a high level of attention to detail and accurately process orders
• Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
• Intermediate math skills

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders and count/verify incoming material
• Receive and store vendor material and returns and note discrepancies/damages
• Load/unload trucks and operate forklift and other material handling equipment
• Print/verify receiving docs and enter material into the system
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety; report safety issues
• Assist customers at the counter and support the supervisor/manager as needed
