EMCO Corporation is a leading national wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products in Canada. The Material Handler/Back-Up Delivery Driver role involves picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and loading duties while upholding safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College/University degree asset.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn product knowledge and operate forklift safely.
• Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record required.
• Knowledge of driving regulations and Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
• Ability to work calmly in stressful situations; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders; count and verify incoming material and returns.
• Receive, count, verify, and store vendor material and returns.
• Load/unload trucks; operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Print and verify receiving documents and enter material into the system.
• Identify discrepancies, damaged material, and process shipments with accuracy.
• Assist with deliveries to customer sites and vendor locations; secure loads.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety; report safety issues.
• Provide excellent customer service at the counter and with drivers.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management.
