Job summary

EMCO Corporation, one of Canada’s largest wholesale distributors of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks and industrial products, is seeking a Material Handler to join our team. You will pick, pack and ship customer orders, count and verify incoming material, and help maintain accurate inventory in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key duties include loading/unloading trucks, operating a forklift, processing receiving and shipping documentation, and ensuring safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset.
• A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to learn to operate a forklift and material handling equipment.
• Accurate order processing and high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with basic warehouse software and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Follow Health and Safety rules and legislation while performing job functions.
• Load and unload trucks; operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Receiving duties: verify material received and document discrepancies.
• Printing/entering material into the system and organizing storage.
• Picking, packing, and shipping duties; ensure correct documentation.
• Inform supervisor of inventory discrepancies and safety issues.
