Job summary

EMCO Corporation seeks a Material Handler to join our Canada-wide wholesale team. You will pick, pack, and ship customer orders, count and verify incoming material, and handle vendor returns with careful attention to detail.

Responsibilities also include operating a forklift, unloading trucks, maintaining a clean, safe warehouse, and assisting customers at the counter while following Health and Safety rules. Join a reputable, growth-oriented company.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset.
• A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge.
• Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment.
• Possess a high level of attention to detail and accurately process orders.
• Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders.
• Intermediate math skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately.
• Count, verify, receive, and store incoming material and customer returns.
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Print and verify receiving documents and enter material received into the system.
• Identify special order material and damaged material and store properly.
• Note shipping discrepancies on freight bills and initiate claims.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety; inform supervisor of issues.
• Assist teammates in servicing customers at the counter.
• Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager.
