Job summary

EMCO Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to support picking, packing, shipping, and receiving. You will verify incoming material, process orders, and maintain accuracy and safety in a busy wholesale warehouse serving the construction industry across Canada.

The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, with forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and good math and communication skills. Salary ranges from 40,000 to 45,000 with pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset.
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge.
• Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment.
• Possess a high level of attention to detail and accurately process orders.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Health and Safety rules and legislation while performing job functions.
• Load and unload trucks, operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Receiving duties include: obtain packing slip, verify material, note discrepancies or damaged material.
• Picking, packing, and shipping duties include: count against shipping docs, pack for pickup/shipment.
• Complete shipments documentation for third party carriers and TDG requirements.
• Inform Supervisor of inventory discrepancies and safety issues.
