Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Vaughan, Canada is seeking a Material Handler I to support warehouse operations under the supervision of the Logistics Supervisor.

Responsibilities include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation and cycle counting, with attention to accuracy and safety. Responsibilities also cover handling related paperwork, tote induction, and staging for loading, as well as providing maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified Safety Sensitive Non-Regulated

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation and cycle counting.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, and staging for loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing system during core production shift hours.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice requirements where applicable.
• Maintain performance with contract measurement guidelines.
• May require background screening for MVR to drive company vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
