Job summary

EMCO Corporation in Canada is seeking a dedicated Material Handler for our Edmonton location. You will pick, pack, and ship orders, verify incoming vendor material, and process returns with accuracy.

Role requires forklift operation, attention to detail, and solid customer service as you support counter and warehouse teams. Diploma and warehouse experience are preferred; training on our software system will be provided.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset.
• A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge; learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Possess a high level of attention to detail.
• Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders.
• Intermediate math skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow Health and Safety rules and legislation while performing job functions.
• Load and unload trucks, operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Receiving duties: verify material received, print/enter documents, identify special/damaged material, store properly, note discrepancies.
• Picking, packing, and shipping duties: pick material for orders, assemble/pack for shipment, complete documentation for shipments, inform supervisor of inventory discrepancies, maintain warehouse cleanliness, assist customers at counter.
• Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager.
