Job summary

Integra in Harrow, Canada, is seeking a material handler to transport parts to workstations and support shipping, receiving, and material handling between the warehouse and production facility. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, loading/unloading, delivering materials across plant locations, and keeping work areas clean and safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have forklift experience; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to perform freight handling with pallet jack/fork lift.
• Ability to follow instructions, independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping, receiving, and material handling between warehouse and production facility.

• Load, unload, and stack products; may be inside or outside the facility.
• Deliver materials to departments and between plant locations using signals or Kanban.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and equipment.
• Follow instructions and safety procedures; work as part of a team.
• Demonstrate sense of urgency and accountability; communicate effectively.

Qualified candidates will also learn all areas of warehouse receiving department so that they can be a back-up and well-rounded in everyday functions of the material handler for the factory.

• Working to assist with shipping, receiving, and material handling between the warehouse and production facility


• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials and products


• Safely load, unload, and stack products and materials – may be inside or outside of the facility


• Delivers materials to various departments and between plant locations, utilizing electronic signals and/or KANBAN (visual controls) as to when materials are to move


• Ensures work areas are kept clean and organized


• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment


• Performs miscellaneous duties as required


• Follows instructions and all safety procedures

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Must have previous forklift experience - Forklift certified preferred


• The ability to perform freight handling duties with a manual pallet jack/fork lift


• The ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team


• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.


• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a warehouse or production environment.

Starting Rate of Pay: $26.00/hour
