Job summary

Integra in Harrow, Ontario, is seeking a Tech I - Elect Assembly responsible for reading wiring diagrams, interpreting schematics, and wiring all components within a custom control panel.

This individual will also assist in electrical assembly and with training could assist in minor electrical testing and commissioning Integra offers on-site roles in DEPTEC with a focus on safety, precision, and teamwork; you will install wires, terminations, and labels, and help ensure components meet BOM

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and bills of material.
  • Post-secondary education in Electronics/Electrical/Electromechanical field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical control panel wiring including
  • Component identification and understanding of component functionality.
  • Interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics and implementing it in producing a panel.
  • Wire, termination, and component selection
  • Troubleshooting and testing connections

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Installation and assembly of wire harnesses and wire tags
  • Assist in testing and commissioning as well as electrical installations.
  • Installation of pt's, CT’s, terminal blocks, ground blocks, fuses, circuit breakers, switches, connectors, relays, controllers, and other components used within control panels.
  • Identify components based upon bills of material.
  • Inspect components to find defects before using them.
  • Install components into the panel before wiring them.
  • Select correct wire location, gauge, type from wire diagram.
  • Determine wire routing, cut lengths, and install wires.
  • Select correct terminations for wire connections.
  • Wiring and assembling control panels.
  • Wire electrical panel components following wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Perform own quality inspections for wiring accuracy, correct component selection.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot at a wiring diagram and schematic level.
  • Ensure proper protective equipment must be worn and tools or other equipment is utilized based on the task.
