Job summary

Ryerson in Winnipeg, Canada, is seeking a Material Handler to support day-to-day staging, packing, and picking of material for shipments using forklift and overhead crane equipment. Hours are 9:00am–5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The role requires at least 1 year of related experience; forklift/crane skills are preferred; basic math and computer literacy are required; and you must be able to pass physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of similar job experience required.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer.

Responsibilities

• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders.
• Packaging of material to customer requirements.
• Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift and overhead crane to move material as needed.
• Proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving on the computer.
• Maximum productivity for finished goods creation.
