Job summary

Lactalis Canada is seeking a Material Handler to support production by keeping work areas clean and organized, assisting with shipping and receiving, and moving across various manufacturing and assembly line stations. The candidate should be safety-focused and able to work rotating 8-hour shifts including days, afternoons, nights and weekends.

Preferred applicants will have finished secondary school and the ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods, and adapt quickly to a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school (OSSD or equivalent).
• Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time including bending, twisting and walking.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, particularly in food industry, is an asset.
• Must be available to work days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and organizing areas within the plant as required
• Fulfilling duties assigned in compliance with OHSA
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards
• Supporting shipping and receiving operations as needed
• Working on manufacturing/assembly lines in different stations as required
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, adaptable, and available to work rotating 8-hour shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
