Job summary

Lactalis Canada is seeking a Material Handler to support production operations, maintain clean work areas, assist with shipping and receiving, and rotate across stations. The role requires safety focus and flexibility to work 8-hour shifts including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.

The ideal candidate has OS SD completion, can lift up to 50 lbs, and is comfortable standing for long periods. Prior food-manufacturing experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school (OSSD or equivalent).
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods, including bending, twisting and walking.
• Experience in manufacturing, especially food industry, is an asset.
• Must be available to work days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and organizing areas within the plant as required.
• Fulfilling duties in compliance with OHSA.
• Adhere to safe work practices, GMPs, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards.
• Supporting shipping and receiving operations as needed.
• Working on manufacturing/assembly lines in different stations as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

The Material Handler supports production operations by maintaining clean and organized work areas, assisting with shipping and receiving, and working across various manufacturing and assembly line stations.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, adaptable, and available to work rotating 8-hour shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.

Responsibility

• Cleaning and organizing areas within the plant as required
