Job summary

Lactalis Canada is hiring a Material Handler to support production operations in our plant. The role requires safety focus, adaptability, and willingness to work rotating 8-hour shifts (days, afternoons, nights, weekends). You will help keep work areas clean, assist with shipping/receiving, and operate across lines and stations.

The position emphasizes safety, GMP adherence, and environmental/food safety standards, with opportunities to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Secondary school completion (OSSD or equivalent) is required.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods, including bending, twisting and walking.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, particularly in the food industry, is an asset.
• Must be available to work days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and organizing areas within the plant as required.
• Fulfilling duties assigned in compliance with OHSA.
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards.
• Supporting shipping and receiving operations as needed.
• Working on manufacturing/assembly lines in different stations as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

The Material Handler supports production operations by maintaining clean and organized work areas, assisting with shipping and receiving, and working across various manufacturing and assembly line stations.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, adaptable, and available to work rotating 8-hour shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
