Job summary

Marketing Impact Limited in Concord, Ontario is hiring a Material Handler to help keep materials moving and production running. This full-time role involves safe forklift operation, receiving shipments, and supporting shipping and production teams across the facility.

You will grow within Operations, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities as you demonstrate safe practices and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of forklift experience; 5+ years preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, or manufacturing.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work.

Responsibilities

  • Safely loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and other equipment.
  • Receiving, verifying quantities, and inspecting shipments for damage.
  • Preparing, staging, labeling, and coordinating outbound shipments.
  • Transporting raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to support production.
  • Maintaining inventory records and assisting with cycle counts.
  • Keeping warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Supporting multiple departments during operational needs.

At Marketing Impact, every product starts with the right materials in the right place at the right time. We're looking for a safety-focused, dependable Material Handler to join our Operations team and play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing facility running efficiently.

This is more than a forklift position. You'll be a key contributor to our shipping and receiving operations while supporting production teams across the facility. As you develop confidence and demonstrate safe operating practices, you'll have opportunities to expand your responsibilities and grow your career within Operations.

What You'll Do

As a Material Handler, you'll help ensure materials move safely and efficiently throughout our manufacturing facility by:

  • Safely loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities, and inspecting shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Preparing, staging, labeling, and coordinating outbound shipments.
  • Transporting raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to support production.
  • Staging materials and replenishing inventory to keep production running smoothly.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with cycle counts.
  • Keeping warehouse, shipping, receiving, and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Supporting Assembly, Fabrication, Merchandising, Custom, Pusher, Shipping, Receiving, and other departments when operational needs require.
  • Assisting with basic fabrication and assembly tasks, including preparing materials and components for production.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency while proactively supporting the team.
What You Bring

  • Has several years of experience operating forklifts safely in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Takes pride in working safely and following established procedures.
  • Is organized, dependable, and pays close attention to detail.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
  • Has a strong work ethic and looks for ways to contribute, even during slower periods.
  • Is eager to learn new skills and grow into additional responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of forklift experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Valid forklift certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, or manufacturing.
  • Experience operating forklifts in a busy production environment.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management software is an asset.
  • Experience with fabrication equipment, hand tools, power tools, or manufacturing equipment is considered an asset.
