Job summary

Septodont Group is hiring a Material Handler to manage warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and material flow to support production and internal departments. The role ensures proper handling of finished goods and materials while maintaining GMP compliance and a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, ERP transactions, and coordinating material movement between warehouse and production. Afternoon shift 2pm–10pm with a $2/hour premium is provided.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma; post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year in a warehouse environment with GMP knowledge is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS is an asset.
  • Proficiency with RF scanners, ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Generate reports and complete transactions using the ERP system.
  • Move materials between warehouse and production to support needs.
  • Transfer finished goods from production to warehouse for storage.
  • Support shipments by loading trucks and processing documents.
  • Adhere to GMP and safety guidelines; observe all regulatory requirements.

Job description

Job Summary

The Material Handler reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for managing warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and material flow to support production and other internal departments. The role ensures the smooth handling of finished goods and materials throughout the facility while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cycle counts as identified by the cycle count program and support activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Generate reports and complete transactions using the ERP system.
  • Compile and transfer materials from the warehouse to the production facility and other internal departments to support their requirements.
  • Transfer finished goods and other materials from the production facility to the warehouse for storage.
  • Anticipate production demands and proactively solve potential issues.
  • Place product into designated storage areas to maintain cleanliness, an efficient, and an organized process flow of material.
  • Respond to multiple production demands and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Use problem‑solving skills to optimize space effectively.
  • Support shipments to external customers and vendors by loading trucks and processing documents.
  • Support the receipt process from suppliers and vendors by unloading trucks and processing documents.
  • Participate in the temperature monitoring program as required.
  • Deliver received mail and other items to recipients within the facility.
  • Follow GMP and regulatory requirements, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Observe and support all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Demonstrate the company mission, vision, values statements, policies, and current standard business practices.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma. Completed post‑secondary education is considered an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in a warehouse environment. Counter balance, electric walk‑ie, narrow aisle, and reach truck experience is required. Previous pharmaceutical experience, including GMP knowledge, is considered an asset. Knowledge of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS certification is an asset.
  • Computer: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, RF scanners, and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to multi‑task and respond to changing demands.
  • Ability to work all shifts.
Shift Information

Shift Available: Afternoon Shift – Monday to Friday – 2pm to 10pm – Shift Premium $2/hour.
