Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking a Material Handler/Coordinator for a project in Nisku, AB. This role focuses on receiving and controlling materials, inspection, and ensuring traceability and proper labeling. The position supports production and fabrication areas and aligns with safety-driven processes.

Qualifications

  • CSTS 2020 certification required or preferred.
  • WHMIS 2015 knowledge required.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments.
  • Maintain organized and safe material storage areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
  • Ability to lift, carry and handle up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Material Control.
  • Coordinate receipt and inspection of incoming materials.
  • Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and material test reports.
  • Ensure material traceability requirements are maintained.
  • Coordinate material identification and labeling procedures.
  • Manage non-conforming materials with Quality Control.
  • Issue materials to production crews and fabrication shops.
  • Coordinate material movement between laydown areas, fabrication bays, and assembly locations.
  • Ensure fabrication foremen have visibility of material availability and shortages.
  • Support project teams with material status reporting.

What You Will Be Working On

Receiving & Material Control
