Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking local General Labourers for our fabrication shop in Nisku, AB. You will support yard operations and shipping/logistics, ensuring a safe, organized work area and efficient material handling.

Ideal candidates hold CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015, are capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, and can follow written and oral instructions in a fast-paced environment. Benefits include RRSP and plan per collective agreement.

Qualifications

• CSTS 2020 certification required.
• WHMIS 2015 certification required.
• Extensive knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Organized, self-driven, and able to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Yard Operations: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard.
• Organize materials, equipment, and fabrication components within the yard.
• Remove debris, scrap materials, and packaging waste.
• Assist with snow removal and seasonal site maintenance.
• Support yard layout and planning.
• Shipping & Logistics Support: Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
• Prepare shipping materials, dunnage, and rigging equipment.
• Assist with shipment inspections before transport.
• Move materials and fabrication components using forklifts and other equipment when authorized.
• Support inventory counts and material tracking.
• Ensure material storage areas are organized and accessible.
• Deliver materials and consumables to production areas as required.
