JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) seeks a dynamic, strategic, results-driven professional for the role of Master Plumber.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Facility Services, this role involves performing licensed Master Plumber duties to build, maintain, and repair structures and equipment within generating facilities and properties.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Review, approve, and stamp documents for testing and maintenance of backflow preventers. Registration with the applicable municipality's cross-connection program is required.
• Ensure proper storage of documentation.
• Conduct periodic walk-downs of equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping and fire prevention practices.
• Perform Civil Maintenance tasks as needed.
• Operate and maintain power tools, equipment, and hand tools.
• Follow radiation protection procedures and use contamination control equipment.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Lock and tag equipment as trained.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, Plumber 306A license, and OWWA Cross Connection Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Master Plumber.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-organized.
