West Fraser's Toronto office seeks a Master Data Control Analyst to join the data governance team, providing hands-on MD management support to improve visibility, trust and value of enterprise data assets.

You will maintain master data, analyze data quality, document data lineage, and drive improvements with cross-functional collaboration to ensure data integrity and rule alignment across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 3+ years in master data management including data governance and data quality
• Excellent data management, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with data analysis techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication to articulate issues, present analysis and propose solutions
• Critical thinking, project management and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels, professionally and proactively
• Ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervision
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience in BI report building

Responsabilités

• Maintain and update master data records in adherence with internal controls and best practices
• Query, analyze and update master data records to attain completeness, accuracy and compliance
• Document data lineage, master data processes and develop controls to ensure data integrity and alignment with business rules and standards
• Initiate data quality improvements, collect/document data quality rules and report on data quality metrics
• Promote data quality improvements, collect/document data quality rules and report on data quality metrics
• Improve, automate and create efficiencies in the master data process
• Collaborate across all internal departments when data integrity issues arise and assist in research and resolution efforts
