Job summary

CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a Master Control Technician (T & I) for an on-site role in Toronto. You will coordinate video and audio feeds, operate master control equipment, and ensure transmissions meet CBC standards and schedules across platforms.

This permanent, full-time position requires 3–5 years of experience in distribution, operations or production, with strong computer, communication and troubleshooting skills, plus knowledge of time zones, fiber, satellites and broadcasting workflows.

Qualifications

• Three to five years industry experience in distribution, operations or production.
• Strong computer skills and communications skills are essential.
• Knowledge of network schedules, time zones, fibre lines, satellites, streaming and content distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Patch, switch, and route video and audio feeds according to schedules; coordinate with production facilities.
• Connect temporary facilities for production partners.
• Coordinate distribution and collection facilities for billing and records.
• Coordinate routing of feeds domestically and internationally; ensure proper termination.
• Check and verify TV Master Control schedules and insert corrections; monitor networks.
