Job summary

Corus-Entertainment invites applications for a full-time Broadcast Technician based in Toronto. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain studio, control room, newsroom, and field systems to support 24/7 broadcast operations.

The role requires shift work including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support. Ideal candidates hold post-secondary education in Broadcast Technology or related field and have strong skills with digital video/audio signals, IP-based workflows, and

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Broadcast Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
Ability to troubleshoot broadcast electronic systems in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of digital video and audio signals within broadcast systems.
Experience with server-based and file-based workflows and IP-based systems.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain broadcast systems in studio, control room, newsroom, and field.
Perform emergency and routine maintenance on broadcast equipment for News Operations.
Support broadcast IT, networking, and IP-based workflows.
Document installations and maintain system drawings (CAD/Visio).
Collaborate with News Operations and production teams to ensure high-quality on-air output.
