Job summary

Fairmont Hot Springs Resort in British Columbia, Canada, is seeking a Massage Provider to deliver professional massage and body treatments to guests. The role requires knowledge of multiple modalities, excellent communication, and a willingness to train in spa offerings.

Pay is CAD 18.25 per hour for non-commission hours. You will maintain sanitation, manage appointments, educate guests on wellness, and support spa operations while promoting the resort’s experiences and discounts.

Responsibilities

  • Be on time for your shift, prompt for appointments, and perform services within the allotted time.
  • Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments per spa protocols and certification practices.
  • Inform and educate guests about specific wellness concerns.
  • Be flexible with your schedule to support spa needs.
  • Care for equipment and use product amounts to aid cost controls.
  • Have knowledge of all services and products offered.
  • Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards.
  • Prepare and restock rooms, assist with guest lockers and laundry.
  • Communicate to management any staff or guest issues requiring attention.
  • Promote spa, treatments, services, retail, programs, promotions and discounts.
  • Accurately book, change and cancel spa appointments in Mind Body system.
  • Handle credit card and cash transactions.
  • Respond professionally to guest questions and concerns.
  • Work without direct supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.
  • Attend and support training and staff meetings.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
  • Support and promote the resort as a whole and assist other areas when necessary.
  • Other duties as required.

Position Summary -

The Massage Provider administers professional massageand body treatments to our guests. They must have a thorough knowledge ofnumerous massage modalities, posses a general understanding of body treatmentsand be willing to train in our spa’s specific massage and body treatmentofferings. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able tolearn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively providewellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Beon time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform serviceswithin the appropriate time allotted for the service.
  • Provideconsistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spaprotocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Effectivelyinform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns.
  • Beflexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.
  • Properlycare for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with costcontrols.
  • Havecomplete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
  • Upholdthe standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’spolicies and procedures.
  • Performprep work, properly clean and restock used rooms as required. This includesitems needed to stock guest lockers and remove soiled laundry.
  • Communicateto management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa thatrequire attention.
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as wellas programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
  • Accuratelybook, change and cancel spa appointments in Mind Body point of salesale/booking system.
  • Abilityto handle credit card and cash transactions.
  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally andcourteously.
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to allrequests by guests.
  • Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Maintaina positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Regularlyattend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
  • Support and promote the resort as a whole being helpful to other areas when necessary.
