Esri Canada is seeking a Marketing Specialist based in Canada. You may work virtually from a home office or, when appropriate, choose to commute into one of Esri Canada's 15 office locations across the country. As a Marketing Specialist in the Industry & Events Marketing team, you will generate demand for Industry Solutions that help customers create smarter and safer communities. This intermediate, national role requires curiosity and analytical skills to understand customer needs, and communication expertise to connect those needs with Esri’s technology solutions.

Success in this role depends on understanding industry trends and executing integrated activities to engage customers. It involves grasping market nuances, identifying value propositions, collaborating with Industry Managers, conducting research, organizing workshops and events, and developing marketing plans.

The Marketing Specialist supports key industry priorities by working with a multidisciplinary team of marketing professionals and industry experts across the three Cs: content, communication, and campaign design.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the Manager, Industry & Events Marketing, and staying aligned on goals, outcomes, and activities.
  • Planning and coordinating integrated marketing activities to build brand awareness within specific industries, creating demand and generating marketing-qualified leads.
  • Creating and developing materials such as emails, landing pages, blog posts, case studies, articles, brochures, videos, social media content, and others for campaigns and engagement.
  • Managing virtual events (e.g., webinars, online seminars) from developing prospect lists to writing email invitations, assisting with presentation materials, and creating drip campaigns.
  • Ensuring consistency in brand and campaign messaging at tradeshows, workshops, and other events.
  • Developing partner channels, such as industry associations, to engage new prospects and expand Esri's marketing reach.
  • Monitoring industry events and meetings to anticipate market trends and prepare marketing opportunities.
  • Supporting business development and industry teams with marketing tools to grow market share.
  • Using social media strategically to monitor market sentiments and influence influencers.
  • Promoting enthusiasm and advocacy for marketing campaigns across the company to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Continuously seeking improvements in marketing operations.

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a B2B marketing role, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; portfolio of published work or samples required.
  • Experience with Salesforce for customer data research and reporting.
  • Experience in creating targeted emails and lists using Marketo or Pardot.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset to leverage team efforts.
  • Excellent listening skills for interpreting customer insights into marketing strategies.
  • Research and data analysis skills to support decision-making.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • University degree or college diploma in Marketing or related field.
