Job description

The Canadian Brewhouse, established in 2001 in Edmonton, Alberta, has grown into a prominent Canadian restaurant group with multiple brands including Brewhouses, Icehouse, Banquet Bars, Plantlife Cannabis dispensaries, Ribeye Butcher Shops, and The Italian Bakery's Tesoro.

Position: Marketing Manager, Content

As the Marketing Manager, Content, you will be the brand storyteller responsible for creating engaging written and visual content across retail and hospitality channels, including social media and websites. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will lead content strategy, oversee content creation, monitor performance, and manage a team of social media and digital marketing professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy & Creation: Develop and execute content plans, lead social campaigns, manage influencer partnerships, produce high-quality multimedia content, and collaborate with creative teams.
  • Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to social interactions, manage reputation, engage with local businesses and influencers, and handle customer feedback professionally.
  • Performance Analysis: Generate weekly and monthly performance reports, analyze social media metrics, monitor website traffic, and optimize strategies based on data insights.
  • Industry Trends & Development: Stay informed on industry news and trends, and experiment with new content formats and platform features.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support content creation from concept to delivery, providing guidance to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in content marketing or social media management, preferably in retail/hospitality.
  • Experience with social media platforms, website management (Shopify/Wordpress), and content creation (photo, video, reels).
  • Proven leadership skills with experience coaching teams.
  • Proficiency in social management tools (e.g., Sprout Social), graphic design (Canva, Adobe), and basic video editing.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to stay current with industry trends.
