MacEwan University is seeking a Marketing Coordinator for a full-time 12-month term opportunity with the School of Continuing Education.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the School of Continuing Education’s marketing efforts by developing and executing strategic campaigns and events that promote the School’s full range of programs. In this role, you will be responsible for content creation, campaign coordination and execution, digital engagement, event support, and performance tracking across multiple platforms to enhance program visibility, enrolment, and audience engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Marketing Manager to establish and prioritize marketing plans and priorities for the School;
  • Leading the coordination and execution of marketing campaigns, projects, and events;
  • Creating high quality, engaging, compelling, and relevant content across a variety of channels, including social media, Google Ads, e-newsletters, print materials, videos, and more;
  • Updating, monitoring, and responding to comments, questions, and feedback on the School’s social media accounts in a timely manner;
  • Attending and providing live event coverage on social media and creating content based on event activities;
  • Ensuring consistent content creation, branding, and messaging across all campaign materials and in alignment with institutional branding and communications;
  • Attending various events (conferences, industry nights, open house, etc.) to promote the School, provide live event coverage on social media, and create content based on event activities;
  • Conducting market research and environmental scans to analyze market trends to inform marketing strategies;
  • Compiling and presenting insights through reports based on scans, surveys, and analytics;
  • Tracking and reporting on campaign performance, metrics, and insights to inform and optimize future initiatives;
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather comprehensive information and insights, ensuring marketing initiatives are aligned with stakeholder needs; and
  • Managing website content updates to support ongoing relationships with key partners such as agents and partnering organizations.
Skills

You will have:

  • A solid understanding and hands-on experience with using social media platforms;
  • An understanding of design principles and best practices;
  • Experience with planning, executing, and analyzing digital advertising campaigns (paid and organic) across platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. (additional platforms are an asset);
  • Demonstrated writing competency with an understanding of, and ability to write in a variety of formats for a variety of audiences with strong attention to grammar, punctuation, and spelling;
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities;
  • A results-oriented, resourceful, and self-motivated approach;
  • Experience conducting market research and analyzing industry trends;
  • Experience using Google Analytics to track, report, and optimize performance, supporting data-driven decision making for future campaigns;
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies to enhance marketing efforts;
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability, enabling you to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva or related design tools, knowledge of Adobe Creative suite would be considered an asset.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing or communications related role, with the ability to promote events, initiatives, and services using a variety of media.
  • Experience working with comprehensive CRM tools in a large organization would be considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of a new website for a medium to large organization would be considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Position Requirements
  • Must be flexible with the ability to attend and support events that may take place outside of regular working hours.
