About the Role
To support coordination and implementation of a variety of projects aimed at advancing the future of the OQCC including developing community partnerships, building educational and engaging programming for our members, and supporting with event coordination.
Duties & Responsibilities
Partnership Development: Identify, cultivate, and maintain partnerships with government agencies, advocacy groups, foundations, and other key stakeholders aligned with our mission, with a particular focus on 2SLGBTQI+ and other equity-denied businesses.
Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with current and potential donors, partners, and supporters, emphasizing values-vetting in line with our commitment to gender equity and inclusion. Manage communication and engagement strategies to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing & communications, membership & community, and business development/fundraising, in order to integrate advocacy efforts into all partnership initiatives, ensuring that gender equity remains a central focus.
Program Development: With the support of other team members and partners, build, plan, and coordinate workshops and other programming for the 2SLGBTQI+ and allied business community.

We’re searching for someone who has:
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
•Great listening skills
•Well-organized and accurate
•Takes initiative and shows good judgment
•Exceptional Hosting and “Stage Presence”
•Strong ability to drive engagement with people
•Being great with people; delivering warmth and an uplifting experience
•Is passionate about 2SLGBTQI+ advocacy and economic empowerment
•Has lived experience in the 2SLGBTQI+ community
•2+ years’ experience in a similar role
•Bonus: a relevant postsecondary diploma or degree
To thrive in this position, you should be comfortable using applications including, but not limited to:
•Able to learn new applications
You may be required to travel to attend chamber events, and work weekends and extra hours when it is necessary to do so.
Compensation for this role is sourced from temporary government funding and continuation of the role is contingent on the chamber becoming profitable after the government funds have been exhausted.
Start Date: TBC (July 2025)
Hours of Work: FT, 35 hours per week
Place of Work: Hybrid remote, within Ontario, travel required, some in-person meetings and events
Pay: $30/hour
Perks & Benefits: Casual work environment, flexible schedule, opportunity to create significant positive social change, travel allowance when necessary
Reports to: Executive Director
