What You'll Do
- Marketing Execution
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute annual marketing plans
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and internal departments to ensure alignment on campaigns and goals
- Oversee campaign execution across digital, print, and event channels
- Content Creation & Community Engagement
- Create and schedule engaging content for multiple social media channels (including LinkedIn for B2B-facing properties like Catering and Conferences)
- Capture and edit photography and video content for use in digital campaigns and promotions
- Design marketing materials and digital ads using Canva
- Manage community interactions and monitor comments/messages across platforms
- Influencer & PR Management
- Coordinate influencer partnerships and user-generated content campaigns
- Draft and distribute press releases
- Pitch stories to local media and maintain media contact lists
- Oversee media coverage and press relationships for key events ( ie. Oktoberfest)
- Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Deploy email campaigns and newsletters using Mailchimp
- Monitor campaign performance via tools like Google Analytics
- Track KPIs including engagement, open rates, web traffic, and campaign ROI to inform future strategy
- Support trade shows and promotional activations as needed
- Advertising & Budget Oversight
- Coordinate digital and print advertising efforts
- Track and reconcile marketing budgets
- Manage invoices and liaise with vendors
- Administrative Support & Brand Consistency
- Support day-to-day admin functions such as formatting, data entry, and marketing coordination
- Ensure consistent branding across all customer touchpoints and business verticals
- Stay informed on local events, tourism trends, and promotional opportunities
What we're looking for?
- Creative self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Must have post-Secondary Education in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of marketing experience, ideally in tourism, hospitality, or events
- Experience in photograph and graphic design.
- Must be proficient in: Microsoft Office, Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
- Proficient in Canva, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or print production is an asset
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Hospitality/Tourism Industry experience preferred but not required.
Additional Information
This is a permanent, full-time position. In office Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
