Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking a Marketing Communications Student to support integrated plans, write and edit content, and help manage campaigns in our Toronto district. The role runs 4 months starting January 2027, with an hourly wage range provided based on experience.

You will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team, develop materials, and assist with events and stakeholder engagement to promote brand presence in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail and brand voice
  • Creative mindset with graphic design skills; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) considered an asset
  • Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, self-driven approach
  • Interest in construction, storytelling, and building brand presence in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to support integrated plans and campaigns aligned with district priorities
  • Research, write, and edit a wide range of content including articles, social media posts, website copy, project profiles and executive communications
  • Develop clear, concise communications tailored to diverse audiences, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with PCL brand standards
  • Support execution of communications campaigns and community initiatives
  • Assist with coordination of internal and external events, conferences, and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support storytelling, branding solutions, and campaign delivery
  • Coordinate and manage a weekly internal employee newsletter, including content development, distribution and performance tracking
  • Track media coverage, campaign performance, and engagement metrics; identify trends and insights
  • Maintain marketing assets, databases, and content within internal systems such as SAMI
  • Conduct research and support development of project profiles, resumes, and marketing materials using internal data sources
  • Coordinate and support execution of projects and special assignments across MarComm initiatives
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, contributing to team deliverables and deadlines
  • Support brand consistency across all communications and marketing outputs

As a Marketing Communications Student you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities
Integrated Communications & Content Development
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to support integrated plans and campaigns aligned with district priorities
