Are you a marketing & communications generalist with a love for increasing brand awareness and community engagement both in-person and digitally? Do you have a knack for copywriting, content creation and social media management? If the answer is yes to these questions, we have the perfect opportunity for you! With various campaigns and initiatives on the horizon, we’re looking to fill the role of a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support in the daily communication operations and campaigns across platforms to reach our company goals and increase brand awareness.

Wee Wild Ones is a fast-growing, women-owned and led organization that is focused on innovation and creativity in childcare. We are passionate about creating a positive impact on the children and families with serve, our employees and team members and our city and community. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an dynamic Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our leadership team and support growth across the organization.

Role Specific Info

  • Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week. 8 : 00 a.m.-4 : 00 p.m. Monday-Friday (with some flexibility)
  • A Marketing, Communications or Public Relations undergrad (preferred) or a student / recent graduate within one of these programs
  • 0-2 years of experience within the field of Marketing, Communications or Public Relations (university and volunteer experience will be considered)
  • Police Clearance including a Vulnerable Sector Search (able to apply for this once hired into the role)

  • Comfortable using technology for communication and daily, weekly and project based tasks
  • Able to commute between various locations (when required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Excellent writing skills with an emphasis on writing for the web and social media
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on time
  • Photography and Graphic design skills
  • Knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud Software (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Knowledge and experience with Canva with experience using the platform
  • Videography, editing and publishing skills

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for various programs and events
  • Coordinate and execute in email campaigns and ensure uniformity of content / messaging
  • Design internal brand documents for print or web as needed
  • Support in the upkeep of the Wee Wild Ones website
  • Support in blog writing and social media management
  • Coordinate and support in execution of social media campaigns and ensure alignment with overall marketing campaign and Wee Wild Ones’ mission
  • Creates engaging and on-brand content for Wee Wild Ones, WilderFutures & Nature Calls social media platforms
  • Manages social engagement and exposure through social media management tools
