Location: Calgary, AB
Type: Full-Time | On-Site | 1-Year Contract (with potential for extension)
About Us
Mainstreet Equity Corp. (TSX: MEQ) is a publicly traded real estate company managing over 18,600 rental units across Western Canada. We specialize in value-added renovations, community revitalization, and direct-to-consumer rental strategies. Our marketing team plays a central role in supporting property performance and brand reputation across all channels—from digital listings to on-the-ground signage and community initiatives.
We’re seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator who is organized, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you're tech-savvy, collaborative, and energized by cross-functional marketing work, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a close-knit team supporting a national brand.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Calgary. It is offered as a one-year contract with strong potential for extension.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day will be dynamic and impactful, blending creativity, coordination, and strategic execution. You’ll help implement multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring our properties are effectively represented across major digital platforms. You’ll contribute to seasonal promotions and hyperlocal initiatives that drive brand visibility, generate leads, and support leasing performance.
On the offline side, you’ll manage end-to-end signage workflows—from design approvals to permitting and vendor coordination—while maintaining brand consistency and overseeing progress across regions. You’ll also support additional offline initiatives such as resident referral partnerships and building promotions.
Your responsibilities will include conducting market research, analyzing competitors, and preparing comparable property reports to support pricing and positioning strategies. When needed, you’ll assist with events, leasing activations, and community marketing efforts, helping coordinate projects across multiple cities.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone with a blend of creativity, digital fluency, and operational discipline. You’ll thrive in this role if you can balance execution with insight and contribute meaningfully from day one—while remaining collaborative and open to direction.
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or project coordination
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset
- Experience in real estate, property management, or rental marketing is a strong asset
Technical & Digital Proficiency
Role
This role requires comfort with modern tools, systems, and workflows that power marketing execution today. You should be confident working with:
- Project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Monday.com, Asana)
- Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
- CRM and CMS platforms; experience with property listing and ILS tools is a plus
- Creative platforms (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite)
- AI tools to support productivity, research, and content generation
