The Marketing and Communications Officer will be part of the team responsible for providing general support to CPA Alberta's marketing and communications priorities. The position will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to market the CPA Alberta brand and products, services, and resources. This role reports to the Manager, Communications.
CPA Alberta has offices in Edmonton and Calgary and provides hybrid Telecommuting opportunities (working from home a maximum of three days a week).

What You Bring
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in marketing, communications, advertising, business administration, data analytics, or related field
- Three to five years of relevant work experience is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and stay organized
- Excellent analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office software—including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams—content management systems and email marketing platforms
- Experience in business writing, content creation, marketing, and promotional campaign planning
What You Will Be Doing
- Work closely with the Communications Manager to create and implement the organization’s marketing efforts to effectively promote the CPA Alberta brand and offerings
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to support the organization’s operational plans and strategic priorities, including methods to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities
- Plan and implement CPA Alberta’s social media strategy as co-lead of the social media team
- Conduct market research, forecasts, and trends to support marketing and communications initiatives and advise the communications team and internal business units on recommendations for improvement
- Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies for the online store, leveraging sales analytics to refine product assortments and drive targeted marketing efforts
- Lead the strategy and execution of external sponsorships in Alberta, including coordinating outward-facing sponsorships to promote the CPA brand with valuable stakeholders and identifying new sponsorship opportunities
- Contribute content for CPA Alberta initiatives, including:
- Articles and blog posts for online and print
- Digital content, including web copy and social media posts
- Speaking notes
- Marketing materials, such as brochures and ad copy
- Other duties as required
