Job summary

HUNGRY is seeking an Operations Manager to own the market's catering, delivery, and events, coordinating Captains and aligning with Sales and Food Partner Management to deliver flawless client experiences.

You will lead hub readiness, manage a mix of employees and contractors, and oversee administrative tasks while ensuring food safety and hospitality-first service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in an operations role (catering, food service, hospitality, or logistics).
• Experience managing and developing employees (hiring, coaching, performance).
• Experience coordinating a contractor-based workforce.
• Hands-on live event execution and logistics management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to lift and transport catering equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with time and attendance, expense reporting, purchasing/receiving workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day catering, delivery, and event operations in the market.
• Plan and coordinate local network of Captains; assign gigs and logistics.
• Recruit, onboard Captains; connect with service and food safety training.
• Partner with Sales and Food Partner Management for handoffs.
• Oversee hub readiness, stock, inventory, dispatch, cleanliness.
• Build logistics plans and contractor scheduling.
• Manage vendor and logistics relationships supporting daily ops.
• Monitor service quality and proactively resolve risks.
• Track market-level operational metrics for National Director.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards.
• Lead direct employees: hire, onboard, coach, manage performance.
• Build culture of ownership and hospitality-first service.
• Complete administrative duties: time tracking, expenses, purchasing, inventory.
• Maintain records for payroll, budgeting, audits.
