Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Market Financial Analyst to support management reporting, controls, and financial analysis. This role partners with the Finance Director and Controllers to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

You will build weekly and full-year forecasts, assist SOX documentation, prepare month-end analyses, and support journal entries for the market while liaising with Shared Services.

Qualifications

  • The candidate holds an undergraduate degree and a finance/business-related field.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Exposure to SOX environment or internal controls is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard and ad hoc financial analyses for market.
  • Create weekly forecast and full year forecast templates for all businesses within the market as well as cash flow forecasts and templates.
  • Assist in the documentation and implementation of SOX controls.
  • Responsible for certain controls that can be centralized at a market level (example: Fixed Asset counts)
  • Participate in review and enhancement to internal controls, accounting policies, and business processes.
  • Participate in control walkthroughs and respond to internal and external audit requests.
  • Participate in the production of monthly reporting package.
  • Prepare detailed month end analysis as well as prepare and submit journal entries for the market.
  • Monitor and ensure Month End reporting schedules and commitments are adhered to.
  • Liaise with Shared Services Centre to ensure collaborative achievement of Finance and Control objectives.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments.
  • Assist with planning and execution of various forecasting campaigns including all template creation
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

About The Role

The Market Financial Analyst provides support for management reporting, implementation and ongoing monitoring of controls, and financial analysis. This position is key in enhancing internal controls over financial reporting and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Analyst works closely with, and in support of, the Finance Director and Controllers.

What We're Looking For

Education: Undergraduate Degree.
Field of Study Preferred: Finance, Accounting, Business/Commerce, or related field.
Required Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience required, preferably with interaction with SOX environment and audit.
Required Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Slides. Exposure to SOX 202 compliance or internal controls over financial reporting is required. SAP FC/SAP ECC/BPC/SAC experience is an asset.
Travel Requirements: 10%

  • Effective linkage of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other financial performance analyses with financial reporting
  • Timely monthly management reporting
  • Effective flagging of business issues based on financial and trend analysis.
  • Continuous improvement of operating and reporting efficiency
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
