Job summary

Brock University is seeking a part-time Marker-Grader in the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group for the Business, Society & Ethics unit. You will mark assignments, projects and exams and provide clear feedback to students. May invigilate or enter grades as requested by the instructor.

Compensation is paid hourly, with rates effective Sept 1, 2026: Master’s $36.00, undergraduate $31.04, third year $22.91, second year $20.15, first year $19.00. Posting subject to enrolments and budget.

Qualifications

• Must have completed ETHC 2P51 (or English equivalent) and attained a grade of 80% or higher
• Graduate of or Major in Business with a minimum major average of 75%
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines
• Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and final exams with clear feedback on grading criteria
• Provide written feedback identifying basis of the grade (content, writing, spelling, grammar, structure)
• May invigilate mid-terms/exams or enter grades into databases as requested by the course instructor
