Job summary

Bgc-Kawarthas is seeking an energetic leader to develop and implement recreational programs for children in its after-school program. You will supervise children in the school age room, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment during a split schedule from 7:00am-9:15am and 3:15pm-6:00pm, totaling 25 hours per week.

Applicants should have a Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening, valid Standard First Aid and CPR C, and HIGH FIVE certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 4–12 years.
• Ability to supervise groups and maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications and clearances.

Job description

Before and After School Position. Will be working in our school age room. Hours will be a split shift - 7:00am-9:15am and 3:15pm-6:00pm. 25 Hours a week.

Requirements:

• Criminal Reference Check (18+ years of age) and a Vulnerable Sector Screening (19+ years of age) in accordance with the Police Record Checks Reform Act (PRCRA). Applications can be completed online through your local Police station.
• Must have valid Standard First Aid and CPR C (or willingness to acquire)
• HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development (or willingness to acquire)
• Must be 16+ years of age
• Experience working or volunteering with children aged 4 to 12 years
