Job summary

Bgc-Kawarthas is seeking an after-school program facilitator to develop and run recreational activities for children at Ridgewood Public School in Lindsay, Ontario.

You will supervise children aged 4 to 12, maintain a safe, inclusive environment, and deliver HIGH FIVE principles of healthy child development. Required: Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening under PRCRA, Standard First Aid and CPR C, 16+ years old, and availability after school, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 4–12 years.
• Availability after school hours (Mon–Fri).
• Must meet PRCRA checks and have Standard First Aid & CPR C.

Job description

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of recreational programs for children. Leaders will supervise children and maintain an environment that is safe and inclusive. This position is located at Ridgewood Public School.

Requirements:

• Criminal Reference Check (18+ years of age) and a Vulnerable Sector Screening (19+ years of age) in accordance with the Police Record Checks Reform Act (PRCRA). Applications can be completed online through your local Police station.
• Must have valid Standard First Aid and CPR C (or willingness to acquire)
• HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development (or willingness to acquire)
• Must be 16+ years of age
• Experience working or volunteering with children aged 4 to 12 years
