Job summary

Matchtech seeks an Engineering Manager in Lévis to lead the design, development, integration and testing of Canada’s Program Icebreakers. Based in Lévis, you will guide a team of engineers and technical specialists, serving as the primary technical link between internal and external stakeholders while driving continuous improvement across a landmark national shipbuilding programme.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensure compliance with CMS and applicable laws, and work with suppliers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Naval Architecture or a related field.
• 10+ years in marine engineering or ship design.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineers or technical teams.
• Experience with classification society and flag state rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken); legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and technical specialists.
• Serve as key technical liaison between internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with all technical disciplines to manage changes.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage subcontractors and associated risks.
• Monitor project risks and contribute to risk reviews and engineering estimates.
• Provide performance reports to senior management.
