Job summary

Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISSofBC) is hiring a MAP Case Manager to support settlement needs for clients, with emphasis on outreach and community connections in Vancouver and New Westminster. This full-time, regular role is hybrid (office-based with some remote work).

You will provide one-on-one support, develop action plans, and help clients access settlement information, workshops, and services while coordinating with community resources and interpreters as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Social Sciences, counselling or related discipline with 2+ years’ client-facing experience.
• Fluency in Arabic is required for this position.
• Training in conflict resolution, case management or coaching is preferred.
• Knowledge of settlement issues affecting immigrants and refugees.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in setting goals and priorities and develop an action plan with ongoing monitoring.
• Provide orientations and referrals to settlement services and community resources.
• Offer short-term adjustment counselling on settlement-related issues when needed.
• Enter client information and services into a centralized database with required reporting.
• Organize and facilitate workshops and arrange external speakers as appropriate.
• Provide service bridging through cultural interpretation for clients and staff.
• Engage in networks and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Hybrid work arrangement with occasional at-home work twice per month.
• Perform other duties related to program needs.
