Job summary

KCR Community Resources is seeking a qualified Manager of BC Settlement Services & Projects for a temporary 6-month term. The role provides leadership for BC Settlement Services, BC NSP, BC SAF HAVN, and Migrant Support, supervising staff and ensuring contract deliverables and data reporting.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Immigrant Services, you will foster collaborative relationships with community partners, oversee program reporting, and support participants through effective service

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field and/ or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years direct experience in Immigrant Services program delivery, including supervision, program development and financial monitoring preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources and agencies for newcomers and vulnerable populations.
• Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural, written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with issues facing newcomers and barriers to integration in Canadian life.
• Expertise to work with participants with social, emotional and mental health issues.
• Ability to set boundaries and self-care across financial, personal, medical, legal or confidentiality areas.
• Excellent leadership skills and strong administrative and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements BC Settlement Services, NSP, SAF HAVN, and Migrant Support projects to meet contract deliverables.
• Communicates effectively with the team to facilitate settlement services.
• Assesses and distributes caseloads to settlement workers.
• Builds collaborative relationships with community partners and subcontractors to ensure participant access to services.
• Streamlines referral pathways and explores partnerships with IS leadership.
• Participates in professional development and training to improve program quality.
• Ensures two-way communication with stakeholders to identify gaps and deliver services.
