Owens Corning, a Fortune 500 company known for its Pink Panther symbol, has been a leader in producing building products for residential and commercial markets for over 50 years. We are seeking safety-oriented Packaging Line Attendants for our Edmonton fiberglass insulation plant.

As a Production Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead hourly employees in a rotating shift environment, ensuring safety, engagement, productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Report to the Operations Manager – Edmonton and oversee approximately 25 team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

Safety Standards
  • Ensure completion of safety training and lead safety initiatives.
  • Conduct safety observations, near miss reports, safety meetings, and inspections.
  • Coach team members on safe operating procedures and behaviors.
  • Report and investigate safety incidents, addressing root causes.
Operational Efficiency & Customer Commitments
  • Lead shutdowns and cleanouts safely and on schedule.
  • Communicate customer expectations and ensure product quality and delivery targets are met.
  • Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and train operators in problem solving.
Talent Development
  • Enforce policies, provide performance feedback, and build effective teams.
  • Maintain documentation, coaching, and training plans.
Plant Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Support TPM initiatives and productivity projects.
  • Drive waste reduction and process improvements.
Administrative Tasks
  • Verify payroll, attendance, and operational data.
  • Create and update SOPs, JHAs, and communicate shift results.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Operations, or Business preferred.
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience, including 1+ year supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Mechanical aptitude, computer proficiency, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Change management and results-driven mindset.
