About the Role
4AG Robotics is seeking resumes in anticipation of hiring an intermediate-level Manufacturing Quality Technologist to join our team in Salmon Arm, BC. Reporting to the quality and reliability manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing inspection plans for incoming components and robot sub-system developments. The candidate will also be responsible for handling product quality issues from concept design to production. The primary goal of this role is to ensure the quality, accuracy, and repeatability of our products to help drive customer satisfaction in terms of quality and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of 4ag's Quality Management System in the context of supplier quality and assembly manufacturing processes.
- Assist with part / product failure investigations at customer sites & non-conformance reports, including root cause and other CAPA related activities,
- Assist with hands-on operational support, including the design and use of jigs and fixtures to optimize production quality.
- Support manufacturing engineering in quality assurance & seek out opportunities for improvement.
- Create in-coming inspection test plans & Perform incoming quality control tests and inspections of pre-determined high-risks components.
- Support control of non-conforming parts and products to prevent unintended use in production, including maintenance of records, disposition, and verification.
- Identify, control, and document potential product, process, and / or quality system non-conformances, and escalate issues as needed to ensure resolution.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering in managing and processing non-conforming materials in production.
- Write, update, collaborate with other functional teams, and launch quality documentation in accordance with 4ag Robotics Change Control process.
- Maintain accurate and organized quality records in alignment with established procedures.
- Provide support for Inspections and engineering changes as required.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, troubleshooting issues, and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.
- Assist the Manufacturing Engineering team in writing and executing process validation protocols, support manufacturing for Process FMEAs & Control Plans.
- Provide ongoing Quality Assurance support to production lines, the service department of deployments, to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Provide backup on other QC functions as required.
- Follow all company policy and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a quality function is required in a supplier quality or in production quality role, with preference given to candidates who have worked in industries of electro-mechanical systems production.
- A diploma in Engineering Technology (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Be a member of ASTTBC (Applied Science Technologist and technicians of British Columbia) or any other accredited technologist bureau.
- Detail-oriented individual capable of performing daily tasks with limited supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret procedures and basic technical drawings.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of how to accurately use basic measuring devices in measuring mechanical systems.
- Proficient with MS Office Software
- Experience in working with a PLM and ERP system
- Self-starter who demonstrates an aptitude for organization
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines

The pay range for this role is :
65,000 - 80,000 CAD per year(Salmon Arm, BC )
