Job summary

Ag Growth International Inc. is seeking a technically skilled accountant for a manufacturing facility in Alberta.

The successful candidate will manage general ledger, prepare financial reports, and support budget development while collaborating with operations and senior leadership. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in accounting or business administration, CPA designation, 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel and SAP.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' progressive experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing.
• Cost accounting background in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically, approximately 10% of the time.
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work with operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Present periodic divisional financial reports to Executive Management.
• Manage general ledger and entries for the facility.
• Coordinate and work closely with accounts payable and accounts receivable for the division.
• Participate in development of budget; maintain and analyze budget, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
