RHI Magnesita is seeking a dynamic mechanic on-site in Brantford, Ontario, CANADA.

The role involves planning and coordinating maintenance for all industrial equipment at our Brantford facility. Responsibilities include identifying equipment needs through preventive maintenance, managing spare parts inventory, and planning for replacement components.

Tasks include:

1. Performing repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
2. Inspecting equipment returning from construction sites to identify issues.
3. Repairing or replacing defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment.
4. Coordinating with third-party technical support for repairs and maintenance.
5. Planning the acquisition of spare and wear parts.
6. Assisting with inventory management.
7. Maintaining detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
8. Occasional travel to construction sites for troubleshooting or maintenance.
9. Conducting technical acceptance of new equipment and repairs at suppliers' workshops.
10. Ensuring compliance with safety requirements and PPE use.

About you:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment and mechanical systems.
• Willingness to travel for training.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid and safe operation of a vehicle.
• Strong communication skills.
