Job description

Manufacturing Manager (Project Management)
Your Job

DarkVision is scaling the production of advanced in-line inspection (ILI) and downhole imaging technologies. We are looking for a Manufacturing Manager to build and lead the teams and processes that deliver and maintain cutting-edge inspection technologies on time and to standard.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will own a defined manufacturing and repair scope from end to end. You will lead a team of Manufacturing Technicians and work closely with the Field Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Engineering teams.

Our Team

DarkVision produces the world's most advanced acoustic-based imaging platform for Oil & Gas and industrial asset inspection applications. Our Manufacturing team brings these devices to life by building subcomponents, subassemblies, and final assemblies for our state-of-the-art ultrasound probes.

What You Will Do
Team Leadership & Development
  • Build and grow teams of technicians working on products in the ILI and downhole space, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance development.
  • Set clear priorities and standards for the production floor, and sustain the culture of accountability, continuous learning, and safety.
  • Structure and resource teams to match a growing production and repair schedule, supporting demand from our globally distributed operations teams.
Manufacturing Strategy & Process Development
  • Develop manufacturing strategies, plans, and processes in close collaboration with the Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Logistics teams.
  • Translate product designs and new product introductions into repeatable, scalable production processes and work instructions.
  • Identify and track key performance indicators to inform both planning and strategy.
  • Identify, specify, and commission production equipment and facilities as required to scale production capacity in line with demand.
Production Delivery
  • Gain in-depth understanding of the processes and technologies which are used to produce DarkVision tools by being present and visible on the shop floor.
  • Coordinate with field deployment teams to plan, track, and manage assets deployed globally across active project sites.
  • Maintain visibility of build status, capacity, and constraints, and aggressively pursue delivery commitments to project and operations stakeholders.
Operational Excellence & Quality
  • Drive continuous improvement, quality management, and change management across production operations.
  • Apply Lean production methods and structured root cause analysis (RCA) to reduce variability, eliminate waste, and sustain corrective actions.
  • Own and mature the manufacturing quality management system, ensuring processes and documentation keep pace with production growth.
Who You Are (Basic Requirements):
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in electromechanical assembly, with 3 years of experience managing production teams, setting production strategy, and managing capital equipment and facilities.
  • New Product Introduction: Demonstrated proficiency managing new product introduction (NPI). Able to rapidly take products from prototype to repeatable production.
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of production optimization methods, RCA methodologies, and quality management systems.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Education: A degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering is an advantage, but sufficient experience may be considered as a substitute.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain technical teams in a growing operation.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent, confident communication skills with a proven aptitude for working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Mindset: A high sense of ownership, commitment to rigorous standards, and a strong bias for action.
  • Agility & Innovation: An aptitude for learning and deploying new or emerging technologies and tools to increase the speed and quality of processes and workflows.
  • Resilience: The ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure.
