Job summary

Prysmian Group in Johnstown, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor to strengthen our safety culture in a manufacturing setting. You will lead a small HSE team, partner with operations to implement programs, and drive risk reduction across the facility.

The role requires 3+ years of HSE experience, knowledge of OSHA, and a degree in a safety-related field. Travel up to 15% may be required as part of site and regulatory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team of HSE Coordinators and provide day-to-day safety support to the site.
• Partner with Operations and site leaders to implement HSE programs, training, and risk-reduction initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, job safety analyses, and corrective action follow-up.
• Support equipment reviews, machine guarding assessments, and process changes with Engineering and Maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental and regulatory requirements.
