Job summary

Specialized Recruiting Group – London, Ontario is assisting Express SRG in recruiting an HSE Manager for a manufacturing client in the London area. The role reports to the Plant Manager and owns all safety operations for the growing facility, with a focus on regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing; CRSP certification is ideal; ISO 14001 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing.
• CRSP certification is highly desirable.
• ISO 14001 experience is an asset.
• Ability to drive change and adapt to a variation in requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Health & Safety programs for the plant and ensure OHSA compliance.
• Oversee incident investigations, audits, inspections, and act as Co-Chair of the JHSC with regulatory agencies.
• Manage ISO 14001 environmental programs, audits, hazardous waste compliance, and environmental reporting to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing incidents and near-misses, and support CIP initiatives.
• Deliver and maintain EHS training, monthly safety talks, and new-hire orientation with proper documentation.
• Communicate safety metrics, lead safety talks, and support management review meetings.

Express SRG is recruiting a HSE Manager for a manufacturing client in the London area. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager; this role is responsible for all safety operations for the growing manufacturing facility. This is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities (Not limited to:)

• Lead all Health & Safety programs for the plant, ensuring full compliance with OHSA, government regulations, and corporate policy.
• Oversee incident investigations, workplace audits, inspections, and act as the Management Certified member and Co-Chair of the JHSC while interfacing with regulatory agencies.
• Manage ISO 14001 environmental programs, audits, hazardous waste compliance, and environmental reporting to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing incidents and near-misses, managing Behaviour-Based Safety, and supporting corporate CIP initiatives.
• Deliver and maintain all EHS training programs, monthly safety talks, new‑hire orientation, and ensure accurate training documentation.
• Communicate safety metrics, lead safety talks, support management review meetings, and ensure timely reporting of corporate and plant safety data.

Requirements:

• 3 plus years of HSE experience from manufacturing
• CRSP certification would be ideal; ISO 14001 experience an asset
