Job summary

Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking an experienced HR & Administration Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations at its new production facility. This hands-on role also supports site administration, partners with local leadership, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent HR practices across locations.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in full-cycle HR and at least 3 years in a leadership role within manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-cycle HR experience.
• 3+ years in an HR leadership role (HR Manager/HR Supervisor/Senior HR Advisor).
• Experience in manufacturing, food production or similar operational environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR operations at the Barrie facility.
• Support site administration and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits, attendance, and timekeeping.
• Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, and administrative processes.
• Provide general site administration and office support.
• Assist with Health & Safety documentation (JHSC and WSIB).
• Partner with internal teams across locations for consistent HR practices.
• Provide hands-on support to production or warehouse during busy periods.
