Job summary

Cardinal Health Gananoque is seeking a dependable Facilities Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across the plant, inside and outside. You will support production, handle waste disposal, and ensure a well-organized, hazard-free environment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, comfort with 12-hour shifts on a 24x7 schedule, and knowledge of WHMIS/GMP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and GMP is preferred.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a 24x7 schedule.
• Detail-oriented approach and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Remove scrap from all production machines.
• Clean facilities including washrooms, First Aid Room, and lunch areas.
• Dispose of waste across the plant using the compactor.
• Perform exterior cleaning: yard, parking lot, snow shoveling, and salting.
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory.
• Collect recycling from production offices and break areas daily.
• Inspect eye wash stations, pest control, and safety equipment.
• Sweep and mop floors in production and plant areas.
• Report maintenance needs: drains, windows, doors, mirrors.
• Follow OHSA, WHMIS, GMP policies and quality procedures.
